Course Details
You are interested in learning to knit? Amazing! I am super excited to hear it. The Beginners Knitting Course is perfect for people with absolutely no prior experience, or those who haven’t knitted for a long time or who have lost their confidence and want a fun and relaxed place to learn. During the course we learn all the basics of casting-on, knit, purl casting-off and creating buttonholes whilst making a cowl. Materials below will be provided: ● Beginners 21 page knitting course download including cowl pattern ● Circular needles and yarn for practicing techniques with in the sessions ● A set of high quality wooden circular needles to take home with you, and a ball of 100% extra fine merino yarn for making your cowl. You can chose your colour when you attend the session. ● Darning needles, scissors and tape measure for use in class. Session One – 2hrs 1. Discussion of Project 2. How to cast-on using the knitted cast-on and long-tail cast-on methods. 3. How to knit 4. How to purl Session Two – 2hrs 1. Reminder of the knit and purl stitch 2. Creating button-holes 3. How to cast-off 4. Finishing and Blocking
Cancellation Policy
Bookings are non-refundable. I understand that things can come up that we never envisaged so please do get in touch with me at the earliest oppurtunity if you become aware of something that might mean you cannot make your booked sessions. However, due to the small number of spaces on courses if you give more than 5 days notice, I am able to re-advertise your spot and fill it then you will be able to reschedule your booking to another available course within the next 6 months. If notice is given with less than 5 days or I am unable to re-fill your spot then re-booking will be at my discretion.
