Course Details
I am super excited that you are interested in learning to crochet! The Beginners Crochet Course is perfect for people with absolutely no prior experience or those who have not crocheted for a long time, or lost their confidence, and want a fun and relaxed space to remind themselves of the basics. During the course we will learn the basic chain, double and triple crochet stitches whilst making some fingerless gloves and make-up remover pads. The fingerless gloves are crocheted flat and the pads are crocheted in the round. What materials are provided? ● 21 page Beginners Crochet Course download including patterns for fingerless gloves, make-up remover pads an a bonus pattern for Granny Squares. ● Crochet hook and yarn for practicing with in the sessions ● A quality 5mm ergonomic crochet hook to take home with you, a ball of 100% extra fine merino yarn for making your fingerless gloves and a ball of 100% cotton for make-up remover rounds. ● Darning needles, scissors and tape measures for use in class What do I need to bring with me? ● Just yourself! What is covered in the beginner’s crochet course? Session One – 2hrs 1. Discussion of Projects 2. Learn to crochet a foundation chain 3. Learn to double crochet 4. Discussion of typical beginners’ mistakes and how to recognise them and correct them 5. Begin fingerless glove project. Session Two – 2hrs 1. Reminder of what we learnt in session one 2. Answer questions 3. Sew together gloves. 4. Learn the Triple crochet stitch 5. Learn to crochet in the round to make make-up remover pads. 6. Discussion of finishing and blocking. ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION*** These classes take place on the first floor of the shop which is accessed via a spiral staircase. The toilets are in the basement of the shop and are accessed, you guessed it, via a spiral staircase.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings are non-refundable. I understand that things can come up that we never envisaged so please do get in touch with me at the earliest oppurtunity if you become aware of something that might mean you cannot make your booked sessions. However, due to the small number of spaces on courses if you give more than 5 days notice, I am able to re-advertise your spot and fill it then you will be able to reschedule your booking to another available course within the next 6 months. If notice is given with less than 5 days or I am unable to re-fill your spot then re-booking will be at my discretion.
